Terms of service

A short, plain-English agreement.

The rules on which MADURA (UK) LIMITED provides the website and early-access service. Short enough to read in one sitting.

1. About these terms

These terms describe the rules for using the maduira.com website and any early-access service (“Service”) operated by MADURA (UK) LIMITED, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 14063740, with registered office at 9 Plumpton Road, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 1AQ, United Kingdom.

By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. Who can use it

The Service is aimed at people aged 18 or older planning a home renovation, anywhere in the world. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Professional builders, designers and merchants may contact us at support@maduira.com to discuss a separate arrangement.

By using the Service you confirm that the laws of your country allow you to do so, and you agree that MADURA (UK) LIMITED is contracting with you from England & Wales (see section 11 on governing law).

3. Preview build and early access

MADURA is currently in preview. Some features are demonstrated with placeholder outputs while we finalise the generation pipeline. Where preview mode is active we say so on the page.

Joining the waiting list or creating a preview account doesn’t guarantee access to any future cohort, nor does it oblige you to pay for anything. We’ll tell you clearly before billing begins.

4. Credits, purchases and refunds

Credits are a prepaid allowance to use MADURA services. They are not money, not stored value, not a currency, and not a security. They may only be spent inside MADURA, at the credit rate published on each feature, and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, redeemed elsewhere or resold.

Our billing statement descriptor is MADURA. Payments are processed by Stripe and, where your card supports it, are protected by 3D Secure (Strong Customer Authentication).

  • Rate. US$1 = 100 credits, flat across all packs and top-ups.
  • One-time packs. Credit packs are one-time purchases with no subscription and no auto-renewal. We will only ever charge you a recurring amount if you explicitly opt in to a future subscription product, announced separately.
  • No expiry. Credits on an active account do not expire.
  • Top-ups. You can top up at the same rate. Minimum top-up US$3.
  • Pre-purchase disclosure. The credit cost of every feature is shown before generation runs. No generation is charged without your explicit click to confirm.
  • Failed generations. If a generation fails on our side we refund the credits automatically. If it ran successfully but you’re not happy with the output, the credits are spent.
  • Refunds. We honour a 14-day cool-off on unused credits for every customer, modelled on the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Used credits are not refundable once consumed. Where your local law gives you stronger rights, those apply in addition. Full details: refund & dispute policy.
  • Chargebacks. Please email us at support@maduira.com before raising a chargeback with your card issuer. We can almost always resolve disputes faster by email than through the card network. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may lead to temporary account suspension while the card issuer investigates.
  • Account closure. If you close your account, unused credits are refundable inside the 14-day cool-off window; outside that, remaining credits are forfeited on voluntary closure (by design, so the service cannot be used as a value-transfer mechanism). If we close the product on our side, we refund unused balances at the purchase rate.

We do not accept payment for anything other than credit packs and optional future subscriptions you opt into. There are no hidden fees.

5. Nature of AI outputs

MADURA is a planning and inspiration tool. Every output — redesign image, style board, chat reply, question list — is generated by an AI model and may contain errors, approximations or suggestions that don’t suit your specific home. You must treat AI outputs as a starting point for conversation with qualified professionals.

Outputs are not:

  • architectural drawings, structural calculations, or surveyor reports;
  • legal advice or planning-permission guidance;
  • a contractor’s quote, tender or fixed price;
  • a guarantee that a pictured material, finish or layout will work in your property.

Always verify feasibility, cost and compliance with qualified professionals and your local authority before starting work.

6. Your content

You own the notes, text, photos and documents you upload or create in the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content only so we can provide the Service to you.

You promise that Your Content doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights, is not unlawful, and that you have the right to share it with us.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in breach of any applicable law;
  • try to reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the Service;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your relationship with anyone;
  • upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or infringes intellectual property rights;
  • use the Service to provide competing services to third parties.

We may suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe you’ve breached these terms.

8. Our content and marks

The MADURA name, logo, editorial content and design are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our permission.

9. Availability

We try to keep the Service available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend or retire features at any time; where a change is material, we’ll try to give reasonable notice.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, MADURA is not liable for:

  • any indirect, special or consequential loss;
  • loss of profit, revenue, business or data;
  • the actions of any third-party professional (builder, designer, surveyor, etc.) you choose to work with.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

If you’re a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts — in which case that right is preserved.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll note the date below, and where the change is material we’ll email anyone with an active account or early-access registration.

Last updated: 23 April 2026.
